The newly designated members of the Tarlac State University Administrative Council under the presidency of Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza took oath on Wednesday morning (July 2) at the TSU Main AVR.

The university key officials, led by the Vice Presidents Dr. Brendalyn Manzano (Academic Affairs), Dr. Nino Corpuz (Research, Innovation, and Extension), and Dr. Marlon Gamido (Administration), alongside the new deans and directors, were formally inducted and took an oath presided over by Dr. Maura Consolacion Cristobal, Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III Director.

University President Mendoza and the TSU Board of Regents Hon. Winifredo Luis, Hon. Maricar Banting, and Hon. Jazzmine Faye Samson stood as witnesses to the ceremony.

“The oath we are about to take is not about titles, it is not about position, it is about trust. The trust that has been placed in our hands and the responsibility that comes with it. None of you was merely chosen for a post. Each of you was called to a purpose. You are the ones chosen and the ones we trust,” President Mendoza said during his inspirational speech.

He added that the members of the administrative council were not merely chosen but were called to the service of their profession. He said the future of the university now lies in their hands.

“Every peso entrusted to us carries the people’s trust. Every decision we make touches a student’s life, and so our service must not only be excellent, but it must also be honest,” Pres. Mendoza further said.

On behalf of the newly designated members of the Administrative Council, Vice President Gamido extended his deep gratitude to the university president.

“I extend our deepest gratitude to our university president, Dr. Jasper Jay Mendoza, for the trust and confidence he has bestowed upon us. We accept this responsibility with humility and with firm resolve to contribute meaningfully to the realization of this vision for Tarlac State University,” he said.

In her opening message, Vice President. Manzano says that the best days of TSU are yet to come.

“We rise forward. With this commitment, not just to serve, but to etch in our hearts and minds that certainly education can really transform lives. And this is our commitment, making sure that the best days for TSU will come,” she said.

Meanwhile, Vice President Corpuz emphasized in his closing message that the oath taken today symbolizes commitment to excellence, accountability, and selflessness.

He encouraged Dr. Manzano to maintain academic excellence and integrity, while urging Dr. Gamido to continue upholding responsible stewardship. He further challenged his division to foster a robust research and extension ecosystem and called upon President Mendoza to sustain strong governance and leadership for the institution’s continued development.

The new Administrative Council has been approved by the TSU Board of Regents on June 8, 2026, through Board Resolution No. 91, s. 2026 during the 141st regular board meeting, and has taken effect on June 15, 2026.
