The Tarlac State University Non-Academic Staff Association officially launched its Membership Application and Management System (MAMS) on July 18 to streamline member registration and data management.

MAMS is a web-based platform that allows non-teaching employees to apply for membership online and view, update, and manage their member details.

Accessible via the TSU employee portal, the system also enables administrators to review and verify applications more efficiently and manage member information and documentation.

In an interview, TSU NASA President Hon. Cherie Lyn F. Onia shared that the system’s development began in February 2024.

She explained that the growing number of members had made it increasingly difficult for officers to update profiles and records manually.

With the creation of MAMS, the processing of medical benefits, member loans, and data requests from government agencies for over 300 members is expected to become significantly more efficient.

Additionally, members will now receive notifications for approvals and renewals through their TSU email accounts.

The project was developed in partnership with the Office of Management Information Systems, headed by Dr. Marlon V. Gamido, with Mr. Mark James Fernandez and Mr. Jun Marc Talavera as the main developers.

Beyond streamlining membership processes, the system also allows administrators to generate real-time financial reports, including equity per member, medical aid, and TSU NASA contributions.

Hon. Onia encouraged all TSU NASA members to update their personal information through the system.

Last July 13, before the launch, OMIS developers conducted an orientation with TSU NASA officers on using MAMS. (jlm-OPA)
